If you want to do the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge there are a number of ways that you can go about it.
- Get a map and compass and go out and do it yourself.
- Join in with an organised charity event, and help them raise money at the same time.
- Join in with an ‘open’ event where various people will take part, some raising money for charity and some just taking part for the challenge.
- Hire a company to run your event and either provide check points or guide you round the course.
Top tips!
- Make sure your boots fit well – be sure to have got used to walking in them before the big day.
- Cut your toenails before you set off! This will help prevent bruising and discomfort.
- Stay energised. Have some high energy snacks in your pocket while you walk. Sweets and dried fruit are good options.
